Sustainable Careers Workshop
(Early Career/Entry Level)
In response to popular demand, this workshop will assist participants with the entire process of entering the sustainability sector in the Chicago area. Topics include: learning about the sector, being prepared, finding opportunities, skills/education required for a sustainability-related position, rationale for entering this field, networking, and securing (informational) interviews. Space is intentionally limited to allow for questions/interaction. Co-led by broadly knowledgeable local sustainability leaders, Peter Nicholson, Executive & Creative Director of the Foresight Design Initiative and Lindsay James, Manager, Sustainable Strategy of InterfaceFLOR.
The Foresight Design Initiative fosters action and dialog on sustainable innovation in Chicago. It undertakes both its own programs, such as the Chicago Sustainable Business Alliance, Chicago Green Drinks, and Urban Sustainable Design Studio, and consults on the development of others with a range of partners.
